Lynkeos is an application dedicated to the processing of astronomical (mainly planetary) images taken with a webcam through a telescope.

You might want to take a look at the tutorial.

Lynkeos is a Mac/Cocoa application. A port to GNUStep has been done but only for the version 1.2.
